A post from my facebook page [M] Fitness.

Exercise: Let your body do the healing!

So, everyone knows how good exercise is for your body, strengthening your heart, your lungs, and mind. But do you actually realize just how many medical conditions can be partially if not fully treated by regualr exercise. If you read my last note on why personal training is necessary than you may have been looking for this post. But if not, I just wanted to write out a few of the very common health-related conditions that can be supplemented with a great workout routine and better eating habits.
Allergies. Did you know that exercise is one of the most efficient ways to control your nasal congestion? It supports blood flow, and thus alleviates the discomfort that comes with a stuffy head and a stuffy nose. My mom will get a kick out that one!
Are anxious, stressed, or depressed? Everyone knows that exercise releases positive endorphins into the blood stream and to your brain. This triggers a mood-altering effect helping relieve some of the tension you may have built up.
Knee problems. This is another huge on that my Loder family seems to be "dealing" with. We need to exercise so that the muscles, ligaments, and tendons around the knee strengthen and then we can handle stress on the joint better.
Diabetes! Exercise helps lower excess blood sugar levels, stregthens muscles and heart, and improves circultation. All of this is going to reduce your stress levels.
The list of conditions that can be treated with good old heart-thumpin' exercise is extensive. A few more ideas for you though are: arthritis, cancer, constipation, insomnia, osteoporosis, memory problems, glaucoma and headaches. I think it is time that people start to reconsider how they deal with their medical conditions. Imagine treating your body with 15- 30 minutes of intense training each day, and consider what that might do for your health, your medical bills, and your quality of life.
If you have any questions, comments, or concers, please feel free to leave them here at the end of the note or message me directly. I look forward to hearing back from my [M] Fitness crew! And! Don't forget to share us with a friend, we all need a workout buddy!

It's Wednesday....

Hey there fellow bloggers and browsers....family and friends..... its Wednesday. I found out that unfortunately Wednesday is a term that means you smoke marijuana before school? lol I think I will just stick with its humpday! Middle of the week. I am just curious, how many of you start to slow down by Wednesday and how many of you start picking up the slack? Or perhaps, does it matter which Wednesday it is? For me this morning has been a bit sluggish. I just finished eating some breakfast that I couldn't finish eating. I just sort of lost my appetite. And I am now mentally preparing myself or a few hours of study and then training, but I am procrastinating by writing to the open about Wednesdays. Which by the way, doesn't everyone hate how its spelled? I have to say in my head "wed-nes-day" everytime I go to write it. Well anyway, I figured I would check in with a mid-week blog. My studies are going great so far! I am loving learning more and more about personal training and nutrition. I love talking about it to people; and the support I ae recieved from total strangers I meet through it all has been amazing! Every little bit helps! Today I need to map out a sample workout by the end of the day so I can post it on my facebook. I NEED A GOOD CAMERA! In the meantime its off to the world of anatomy and kinesiology and sipping down the rest of this orange juice. Happy wednesday! May we all be productive and stress free today!

Life! --- A Daring Adventure

The Girl in Brown Who Walks Alone

“On a clear day in January 1921, a tall, slender young woman—wearing brown breeches, high laced boots, and a brown jacket—walked miles down a dusty highway to a weedy airfield surrounded by vegetable farms south of Los Angeles. Amelia Earhart—well groomed, with a library book on aerodynamics tucked under her arm—would have stood out in any crowd, according to her flying instructor. She was a loner—her high school yearbook dubbed her “the girl in brown who walks alone”—but she was also a leader, a bookish tomboy who was more fun and adventurous than anyone else and who threw herself at experience, especially the wildly exciting kind. She also had her inner “deeps,” private wells of emotion and sharp sensitivities that she felt profoundly but seldom shared.” - excerpt from, Amelia Earhart, The Thrill of It.

Amelia Earhart's story has always been a fascinating one. For me it instilled a small fire inside me that heated my desire to fly. It became a top point on my own bucket list. I have recently done some research on more female pilots. They were brave and expecially motivated in their time pushing limits and competing against men for titles and awards in aviation. Amelia Earhart mentioned how aviation is a great sport for women as it is stimulating and adventurous. I love feeling excited by life. What is life if you never push  yourself to achieve something risky? What if you never conquer a fear? What if you never find something to be terribly passionate over? I believe that one can choose to be happy, feel content, and go on with life; but wouldn't life be so much greater if you actually followed your heart on some daring adventure? At least once?!

To date, my greatest adventure thus far has been my time in China. I loved traveling the rich cultural land. Meeting new people and visiting exotic places is a huge part of my heart. Sometimes I struggle finding the confidence in myself and in my life to let myself pursue it. I feel settled in my life and give myself doubts on whether or not I could actually afford a trip to Egypt or go to Costa Rica on a volunteer trip. Or even just drive down to San Diego for the day seems daunting. How pathetic?  That is why a few weeks ago I started planning a road trip up the coast of California. That is why I started applying for jobs a little out of reach; it challenges me to perform with a higher level of integrity. It is also why I deeply contimplated what type of career I wanted to have, and made the decision that working in the Fitness and Nutrition industry would be beneficial to myself, my family, and the people I work with. I want to participate in helping to change lives and I am starting by changing my own.

As of May 4th 2012 I joined the ranks at the Corona Municipal Airport. I am going to be working part time in their office, helping with marketing, sales, and dispatching airplanes. In addition to this I have also been commited to flight training. I hope that through the end of summer I will possess a private pilot's license.  I am starting this new adventure with a lot of anxiousness as well as excitment. I could not believe it when I was shaking the Directors' hands as they welcomed me to the team. They gave a quick tour of the airport and honestly walking under the wings of those planes was a precious moment. It was a nice welcoming party. If you get anything out of this, I hope it is just a sense of spirit and optimism for your own future. I encourage you to find something you are passionate about and pursue it fully. Every man and woman needs a story, and like Amelia Earhart and so many others, I want my family and future family to know that I lived doing things that I loved and helping others do the same.

New Job!

Today I was hired as a Front Desk Attendent at Fitness 19. It's an awesome chain of gyms, and I look forward to the perks that come from working at a gym! The good thing is that I will have a steady income to support my certification course to become a personal trainer. I have part time hours, and all the time I am not at work I can spend focused on my internship at Rhino Fitness and to finishing my PT cert. Which I am even more eager to begin now! I feel so on track now and very committed to my new found career! I know its the right place and right time for me to begin this journey. I look forward to the road ahead, and hope that I can have a positive influence on those of you who join me in this journey towards fitness perfection! I am excited to share with you everything that I learn and to support you in your own endeavors! I am grateful for the opportunities that have presented themselves in recent weeks. Here's to making it count and doing what you love!

Young & Beautiful

I like the lyrics to this song! It just makes me want to dance! Hurray for being young and feeling young and being so sexy! Lol. Okay maybe not the last one..... But I'm cute sometimes.

"We're Young And Beautiful" While we're young and beautiful, Kiss me like you mean it, Treat me like I'm special, Cover me with sweetness, Cause a time will come, When we're not so young, and beautiful, While we're young and beautiful, Living free and easy, Here without a worry, Dancing in our bare feet, Cause when the summer's done, We might not be so young, and beautiful. [CHORUS:] It's a crazy ride, And baby, you and I, Are keeping our sweet love alive, Tonight, while we're young and beautiful. While we're young and beautiful, We'll party down on Main street, Wearing next to nothing, Feeling every heart beat, Having fun, while we're still young and beautiful. [CHORUS:] It's a crazy ride, And baby, you and I, Are keeping our sweet love alive, Tonight, while we're young and beautiful. Beautiful, Beautiful, Young and beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful, Young and beautiful. [CHORUS:] It's a crazy ride, And baby, you and I, Are keeping our sweet love alive, Tonight, while we're young and beautiful. Oh, so beautiful. While we're young and beautiful, Cover me with sweetness, While we're young and beautiful, Kiss me like you mean it, Like you mean it, Like you mean it, Like you mean it, Like you do, Oh, yeah, Oh so beautiful.
